We're excited to offer FLVS virtual classes with local teachers for grades K - 12 this year. Full-time Citrus eSchool courses follow the same school calendar as Citrus County's traditional schools. Flex (part-time) classes can be completed year-round. Full-time students may apply for enrollment in Citrus eSchool before the beginning of each semester only. Enrollment criteria apply, including grades and state test scores. The application period for full-time admission for the 2024-2025 school year will be from April 1st through July 10th, 2024. Applications will be reveiwed and families notified of acceptance decisions during the month of July. To apply, complete the 2024-2025 Citrus eSchool Full-Time Enrollment Application. Complete a separate application for each student. Families will be notified of acceptance or denial in June. Enrollment criteria apply. Home education and part-time students may request classes from the first day of school in August throughout the school year. We encourage students to complete all virtual classes during the district school year, from August through May. However, we do offer Flex (part-time) classed during the summer months. Citrus eSchool provides standards-aligned online courses taught by Citrus County's highly qualified, state-certified instructors. Citrus eSchool offers courses for initial credit, general and career electives, and world languages. Citrus eSchool i nstructors reach out to students via email, phone, and Zoom to reteach difficult concepts and ensure students are on track for success. They communicate with families regularly to keep them informed of student progress. The core curriculum offered has been reviewed and approved by the NCAA® to ensure student athletes are college ready. Why choose virtual? Citrus eSchool offers courses to all students in grades K-12 completely free of cost. Students may work from any place, at any time, and at an appropriate pace depending on their needs. Students may take courses for credit recovery or grade forgiveness, to graduate early, or to take an advanced class, elective, or world language not offered at the local school.
